These are certainly unprecedented times, but this ongoing Covid-19 situation shouldn't deter any players from getting their touches on the ball and continue to get better. We have been receiving several emails from parents and players asking for some ideas on how they can continue to develop during this time, so we decided to help everyone out by creating a web page with some ideas on how to get better!

Side to Side Movement + SkillsThis exercise is easy! All you need are two gates and one soccer ball.
Step 1: Set up two gates 5-7yds apart from each other. Step 2: Get a soccer ball and be creative! Dribble back and forth between the gates as quickly as possible. Do sets of 12, then rest. Dribbling options: When you get to the gates, add a skill move. Start simple, then begin to challenge yourself! Level 1: Pull Back Level 2: Run over/Reverse Scissor Level 3: Cruyff Turn Level 4: L-Turn Level 5: YOU DECIDE!!! King of the HillThis exercise is best done with a buddy, sibling, or parent. However, it works just fine with one person!
Setup: Place a central cone down with a ball placed on top of it. Mark out 4 gates in 4 opposite directions 5-7yds away from the central cone. Step 1: Pick a gate to start in. Step 2: As fast as you can, dribble in a full circle through each gate until you end up back at your starting gate. Step 3: Once you've completed your full rotation, then dribble/pass/shoot your ball and hit the ball off of the home cone in the middle of the grid! Dribbling Options: While you're dribbling through each gate, do a ground move! Be Creative! Level 1: Body Feint Level 2: Scissor Level 3: Maradona Level 4: SHOW US A NEW ONE! |
