Total Futsal Invitational
You against everyone!
OPF's Total Futsal Invitational is an idea borrowed from Dutch Football legend Johan Cruyff. Total Football is the tactical theory in which any outdoor player should be able to adopt the role of any other player on the field at anytime, attacker, midfield, or defender. Cuyrff believed the best way to train this is to emulate "street soccer", as he did growing up, by play small sided games.
The Total Futsal Invitational is a tournament in which up to 24 players compete against each other in a series of 3v3 matches and the individual with the most points after 6 rotations wins. Yes, the player, not the team! Each game, the players rotate onto new teams and the individual score is tracked. Players receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 1 point for each goal scored.
